The Great Canadian Sockhop is a fundraiser for youth soccer. All proceeds this year, will go to The Tsawwassen Triple Threat U14 Girls Metro Soccer Club. This team of amazing girls are the current Provincial Champions and are working to represent the Lower Mainland in PEI at the Nationals this summer. You can help them achieve their goal!

In previous years the band was made up of Randy Bachman from The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive with Colin Arthur Wiebe on lead vocals and keyboards, Rogé Belanger (Science) on drums and Mick DallaVee (Cease and Desist) on bass, Denise McCann (Tattoo Man) BG's and vocals. They rocked the Don Bosco Centre and Randy was Takin' Care of Business playing all his big hits plus for the first time in decades, Randy played favorites he used to perform in the late 1960's on the wildy popular "Let's Go" show on CBC.
The Great Canadian SockHop celebrated the 40th year anniversary of the Candian hit record "Shakin All Over". Randy Bachman invited old friend and bandmate Chad Allan, the original lead singer from The Guess Who, onstage to perform the song that paved the way for Canadian bands back in 1965. Parents danced to songs by Elvis and the Beatles as well as hits from the 70's and 80's. The evening was an overwhelming success and raised enough funds to send The FC Canadians Girls Soccer Team to California to play in the Surf Cup!
